If you wish to cap with the Smithtown Hunt, please follow the procedure below:

Please email or call our Honorary Secretary, Ms. JoAnn Braxl Sommer at joannbs@optonline.net or 631-723-3129. Please provide your sponsor's name.

Before the meet, please place your capping fee in an envelope, cash or a check. The check should be made out to the Smithtown Hunt, Inc. Seal the envelope. Write the following information on the envelope: name, address, telephone number, name of horse, date of meet and, if you wish, your email address.

Please be properly dressed and tacked. If you have a question, please do not hesitate to ask our Honorary Secretary.

Please arrive at the meet with ample time to be up and ready to ride five minutes before the scheduled time. Before mounting, please locate the Honorary Secretary, Ms. JoAnn Braxl Sommer, introduce yourself and give her your envelope. You are required to sign a release form (see below to print the release agreement).

CAPPING DONATION:
Opening Day, Thanksgiving Day, New Year's Day and Closing Meet: SR: $100; JR: $35
(Juniors are those persons who have not reached their 18th birthday)

Sundays (not including the above dates): SR: $75; JR: $30

Wednesdays (not including the above dates): SR: $65; JR: $20
